The Endicott Police Department Bomb Squad is also
a multi-jurisdictional unit consisting of police officers from our
department, fire fighters from the Endicott and Binghamton Fire
Departments as well as a fire investigator from Broome County Emergency
Services.
The Bomb Squad meets the needs of the Village as well as surrounding communities by responding to and handling incidents involving suspected improvised devices/threats and any incidents with explosion potential. The Bomb Squad is an accredited bomb disposal unit through the US Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The accreditation status provides the squad with the availability for federal grants and funding.
