Our Mission

We strive to provide the highest quality fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to our businesses, residents and visitors. Our goal is simple: preserve life, protect property, and prevent emergencies.

What We Do

  • Fire Suppression

  • Emergency Medical Services (EMT services with cooperating agencies)

  • Search and Rescue (confined space, water rescue)

  • Hazard Mitigation (gas leaks, electrical hazards, etc.)

  • Fire Prevention & Code Enforcement

  • Public Safety Education

Preparedness & Prevention

Our firefighters train daily and maintain equipment to ensure maximum readiness. Through regular fire inspections and code enforcement, we work to keep homes, businesses, and public spaces safe. Prevention is our most powerful tool.

Our History

Proudly Serving Since 1912.

For over a century, the Endicott Fire Department has stood ready to respond. We are proud of our history and even more committed to the future of public safety in our community. Formed in response to rapid population growth, the department began with a Chief, a Captain, and six firefighters. By 1921, as the Village expanded, we added two more stations and increased staffing to 24. The department reached its peak in the 1960s, with 62 firefighters on duty during Endicott’s industrial heyday, fueled by IBM.  Now we operate out of one centrally located station with 24 career firefighters.
