The Little Italy Endicott Heritage Center is a project of Oak Hill Avenue Improvement Corp., a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving heritage and strengthening community in Endicott’s historic Little Italy neighborhood. For decades, this area has been a vibrant hub of immigrant life, culture, and tradition. It’s a section of Endicott where families came to work, settle, and build lasting legacies.

Our organization began with the vision of honoring these immigrant stories while supporting the neighborhood’s future. Through volunteer leadership, fundraising, and partnerships, we have revitalized community spaces, created events that celebrate culture and connection, and advocated for preserving the unique character of Little Italy Endicott. Each initiative is rooted in the belief that heritage and community pride go hand in hand with neighborhood renewal.

The Heritage Center building at 109 O’Dell Avenue is central to this vision. With grant funding and a capital campaign underway, the building will be transformed into a cultural hub for the region. Plans include flexible spaces for culinary and art classes, cultural celebrations, and community gatherings. A Heritage section will feature photographs and artifacts from local families, ensuring that the stories of those who built this community remain alive for generations to come.

In addition to preserving history, the Heritage Center will host a wide range of programs and events. From cultural programing to the GUSTO street fair, parades, and family-friendly celebrations, the Center will serve as a gathering place where people of all backgrounds can come together. By blending tradition with modern community needs, it will foster both pride in our past and energy for our future.

Oak Hill Avenue Improvement Corp. manages the Little Italy Endicott Heritage Center with a spirit of inclusivity. While rooted in Italian traditions, our mission extends to honoring all immigrant groups who shaped Endicott into the “Valley of Opportunity.” The Center will be a place to learn, share stories, and build unity across cultures.
