Grant Opportunity: Protect Your Home from Flood or Rain Damage

The Village of Endicott is sharing important information for homeowners who may be at risk of flooding or have already sustained property damage due to heavy rainfall. Through New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR), a loan/grant program of up to $50,000 is now available to assist eligible homeowners in protecting and repairing their homes.

Who Can Apply

  • Owners of 1–4 unit, owner-occupied homes

  • Households with low to moderate income (up to 120% of the area median income)

Eligible Projects
The program supports a wide range of improvements, including:

  • Repairing flood damage

  • Floodproofing interior systems

  • Elevating electrical equipment to reduce risk

  • Energy efficiency improvements such as high-efficiency windows, wall insulation, and ceiling insulation

This program is designed to help homeowners strengthen their properties against future flooding events while improving safety and energy efficiency.

“Programs like this provide real peace of mind for homeowners in our community who have faced storm damage or flooding in recent years,” said Mayor Nick Burlingame. “We encourage all eligible residents to take advantage of this opportunity.”
